Biographical Sketch:
Son of Hugh and Janet (Campbell) Murdoch, natives of Ayrshire, Scotland. He emigrated to this the United States in 1868, at 21, and worked in the mines of Pennsylvania, Indiana, Ohio, Illinois and Iowa until 1873. In 1873, he came to Michigan and settled and cleared a backwoods farm. He was connected with the Huron County Agricultural Society for nearly 18 years; was president of the society 2 years. He was treasurer for 2 years of the Huron County Farmers' Mutual Fire Insurance Co., and a director. He served as supervisor of Caseville Township

Notable Facts:
Find-a-Grave says he was in Grand Lawn Cemetery but death certificate says removed to Pigeon Cemetery. Died of heart disease.
