Biographical Sketch:
Son of Anson and Ester (Duch?) Nash. He came to Michigan with his parents in 1857, locating on a farm near Rochester, Oakland County. He taught school for 15 consecutive winters in the district schools of Oakland, Macomb and Kent Counties, working on a farm summers, with the exception of 2 in the shingle mills of Lapeer County. In April, 1879, moved with his parents to Grattan, Kent County, where owned a farm. He served as school inspector and member of the Grattan union school board for a number of years
