Biographical Sketch:
Son of Frank and Ammirilla [or Amaneda Shoffield] (Shefield) Brown. Came to MI with his parents in 1861 and settled in Montcalm Co. near Crystal Lake. When he came of age Came into possession of the homestead which he sold in 1877 and moved to a farm in Bushnell, Montcalm Co. Taught fifteen winters in the country schools of Montcalm Co. and was principal of the Sheridan School in 1983 & 1984. Held several township offices.
