Biographical Sketch:
Son of John and Charlotte (White) Ferguson, a pioneer of Ingham Co. He began studying medicine, in 1867, with Dr. Benjamin F. Bailey of Lansing. In 1870, he moved to Okemos, MI and began practicing medicine. He formed a partnership with his brother, Dr. J/W. Ferguson in 1876. He was a leading member in John Ferguson & Sons, a general merchandise business in Okemos. He also owned a farm where he bred Hambletonian horses. He served in several township offices.
