Biographical Sketch:
Of Italian descent. Son of Salvadore and Grace [or Crocifissa] (Corso) Romano. Came to Michigan in 1925 and about a year later moved to Van Dyke (later Warren) MI in Macomb County. Served as constable and trustee of Warren township & deputy sheriff of Macomb County & police chief of Van Dyke and justice of the peace. He entered the restaurant business, then retail business when he retired from police work. He owned and operated Motor City Boot Shop and chairman of the Board of Directors of the Warren Bank from 1956-60. Served as justice of the peace; trustee of Warren Charter Township, member of the Detroit General Assembly. Deputy Sheriff of Macomb County and chief of police of Warren Charter Township. Member of Base Line; Monsignor Van Dyke General Assembly; DeLaSalle Dad's Club, Detroit; Ascension Dad's Club; Goodfellows; Ascension School PTA; Harding School PTA; Metropolitan Club; Holy Name Society; Knights of Columbus, 3rd degree; and Eagles. On warren Bank's board of directors.

Notable Facts:
In 1966, at the scene of the Roosevelt Hotel fire, he suffered a fatal heart attack after he lifted up a heavy hose that had pinned a woman to a car. Served in both chambers. Member of the House of Representatives for 20 years (1944-64).
