He enlisted in the US Army in October, 1941 and was released in April, 1946. He held office in the township on the board of education and State School District Reorganization. He was the owner of a hardware store in Mount Morris, MI. Partner of Rockwell Fuel and Elevator; Rockwell Bros. Investors; former branch manager of Department of State. Member: Freemasons; Knight Templars; Michigan United Fund; Lions Club, past president; Genesee County Visiting Nurses Association; Genesee County Farm Bureau; Red Feather Fund of Flint and Genesee County; American Legion; Red Cross Board of Directors; Chamber of Commerce. Former president of PTA and Mt. Morris Businessmen's Club.
