Biographical Sketch:
Son of Alfred and Carrie (Cochran)Folks. He worked briefly as a road builder before turning to farming. He served as supervisor of the Spring Arbor Township for 29 years, 1930-59. He chaired the county Board of Commissioners and as member of the Jackson County Allocation Board. Member of Masons, Lions, Farm Bureau and Child Guidance Clinic. Died at Tendercare Nursing Home at the age of 103 years, 93 days old.

Notable Facts:
Elected to the House of Representatives at a special election on4/4/1955 to fill vacancy caused by the death of Leo Miller. Died of natural causes at Tendercare of Marshall, MI at 103. Folks Road was named for his family.
