Head of the Manistee loge of Elks for 3 years. Member of the Michigan Elks State Association. Elected to the legislature on the Democratic ticket in 1932, and re-elected November 6, 1934. According to HR 51, 1956 House Journal, p. 1544 he died 5/9/1956 in Manistee.
