Son of Samuel and Mary Jackson. Moved to Manchester, NH, 1819. Served 6 years on the Manchester, NH, school board. Farm life. 1845-1874 dry goods merchant. Retired in 1874. 1883, moved to Monroe, MI after retiring from retail, where he was vice-president of Monroe Manufacturing Company . Suffered a stroke 11/16/1893 and never recovered.
