Served as 1st lieutenant int he medical corps, U.S. army and was located at Fort Riley, Kansas and Camp Pike, Arkansas. President of the Inham County Medical Society, Master of Capitol Lodge No. 66 and member of the American Legion, Capitol chapter, Lansing Commandery and the Exchange Club.
