Only surviving son of Dr. Cornelius Emory and Antoinette [or Nettie] Rulison. Life-long Michigan resident. Served as 1st lieutenant in the medical corps, U.S. Army and was located at Fort Riley, Kansas and Camp Pike, Arkansas. President of the Ingham County Medical Society, Master of Capitol Lodge No. 66 and member of the American Legion, Capitol chapter, Lansing Commandery and the Exchange Club.
