Biographical Sketch:
The grandson of Edwin Thatcher, an early settler of Ravenna, MI and the son of Frank E. Thatcher, Democratic representative in 1891. He taught school in Casnovia and Shelby until 1930 when he returned to Ravenna as principal of the high school. He served as clerk of the House for the 1937-38 session, a job he returned to in1966 and held until he retired in January 1981. Member of the I.O.O.F. and the Maccabees.
