Located in Oakland County, spring 1837. Located in Fairplain Township, Montcalm County, 1853. Enlisted in Company A, Michigan 1st Engineer Regiment, 8/17/1864. Participated in Sherman's march from Atlanta to Washington, 1864-65. Served as town clerk, justice of the peace, supervisor and county treasurer. Member, Michigan House of Representatives, Montcalm County 2nd District, 1895-96.
