Biographical Sketch:
Son of Stephen and Rebecca Tinklepaugh. As a young man, he was a sailor on the lakes for several seasons. In 1873, he took on the printer's trade. He came to Michigan in 1878 and was one of the founders of the Kalkaska Leader that May. He was editor and business manage for the newspaper.
