Of French descent. Son of Welcome (or Peter Bienvenu) and Zoey (Riopelle) DeLisle. He taught in Deray for many years before opening a grocery on W. Fort St., for 3 years, then moved to Toledo, OH where he has a coal and wood business. After a few years he moved to Delray, MI, and engaged in real estate and insurance. He served as supervisor of Springwells Township, 6 years, and as justice. He was also a lawyer and editor. He belonged to fraternal societies.
