Biographical Sketch:
Son of William and Bridget (Egan) Dohany. Dohany began teaching in the district schools at age 17. After 4 years, he took classes at Fenton Normal School and State Normal College in preparation for attending medical school in Detroit. After receiving his M.D. degree in 1894, he settled in Greenfield, Wayne County and began his medical practice. He was a prominent member and medical examiner of Greenfield Tent , 325 K. O. M. M.
