Came to Chicago, IL in 1913 at age of 10 with his father.
Notable Facts:
Beginning 1924, worked in Detroit for 3 years as an editor of a weekly labor paper printed in Polish.
Was active in Chicago in the Amamlgamated Clothing Workers Union of America from 1927-1930.
Returned to Detroit in 1932 and began working in the auto shops. In July, 1936, became an organizer of the United Auto Workers Union.
