Biographical Sketch:
Born of French-Scotch-English parents. His father was born in France and his mother was born in Ontario, Canada. He was twice elected president of the Michigan Guernsey Breeders Association. He served as the Road Commissioner and county chairman of Iosco county. The first twenty years of his life were spent on various farms in Ontario. The next twenty years he engaged in the insurance business in Detroit, Lansing, Grand Rapids and Bay City, Michigan, the last five years of which he was also engaged in farming. Operated the farm he bought at Long Lake, Iosco county, in 1913 and specialized in pure bred Guernsey cattle and the dairy business. He was twuce elected president of the Michigan Guernsey Breeders Association. He was Republican county chairman of Iosco county for six years and county road commissioner for four years.

Notable Facts:
elected to the legislature November 6, 1928, 1930 and 1932, and re-elected November 6, 1934. According to House Resolution No. 10, House Journal, 1958, p. 18, he died 12/15/1957.
