Biographical Sketch:
Of Scottish ancestry. Son of John Donald and Agnes (Kirk) Mackinnon.
Parents moved to Bay City when he was an infant. Left school at age 16 to learn the machinist's trade. He engaged in the manufacturing business for 20 years, being associated with his father until his retirement, and than with his brother. He was vice-president of MacKinnon Boiler and Machine Co. an superintendent of the works. He served his city as alderman and commissioner. Member of Masons, Shriners, Bay City Club and the Elks.
