Biographical Sketch:
Of Italian descent. Son of James & Lucy (Pezzetti) Mezzano. He was employed as a timekeeper and foreman for N.Y.A.; inspector for the Highway Department; operated a filling station; warehouseman for the Hanna Iron Co. and a salesman; served on the Wakefield City Commission for 6 years; as mayor pro tem; and on the Gogebic Board of Supervisors; member of Knights of Columbus, Elks, Eagles, Bessemer Twp. Conservation Club, Wakefield Chamber of Commerce, Bessemer Township Business and Professional Men's Association and honorary member of Sunday Lake Local No. 2056 of the United Steelworkers of America. He was director of the US Customs Bureau in Detroit, 1961-81. President of the Detroit Federal Credit Union.
