Emigrated to Negaunee. In 1864 he was a rodman in the survey of the Mineral branch of the Chicago and Nirthwestern. In 1904 he was in charge of the Cambria and Lillie mines, ganeral manager of the mining department of the Republican Iron and Steel Co. and had interests in 4 banks.
