Biographical Sketch:
Born in a log cabin on a farm. He enlisted in the infantry of the United States in 1917. He was 2nd Lieutenant of the infantry and was assigned to the 85th division and later to the 14th division He returned to law school after the war and opened law office in Detroit in January 1920. Lt. Gov. of Michigan 1953-54
