Biographical Sketch:
He settled in Florence, Saint Joseph County, MI with his parents, Nathan and Polly (Cloffin) Osborn, in 1838, moving to Park, MI 4 years later. He returned to his father's farm upon his marriage, remaining there until 1853. From 1853-63 he farmed in Mendon and Nottawa. He also engaged in machine work in Goshen, IN at that time. He followed the shoemaker trade for a short time in Parkville, until April 1876, when he returned to Mendon. He was elected supervisor of Park in 1866-76 and served as clerk and justice of the peace.
