Biographical Sketch:
Son of Onesimous O. and Catharine (Blue) Pierce.Principal of Au Sable Schools, 1882-84. Owner of the Au Sable Press newspaper (previously named Au Sable and Oscoda News and renamed Saturday Night). Served as clerk for Judge O.E.M. Cutcheon. Served as village attorney of Oscoda and Iosco County commissioner of schools [1891-93]. He was clerk of the House of Representatives for 20 years. In addition, he had been a state game and fish warden; superintendent of the Capitol; deputy secretary of state; secretary of the Senate; postmaster of Oscoda, 1898. Member of the Knights of Pythias; the National Union; and the Loyal Guard.

Notable Facts:
Descendant of the captain of the ship that brought Roger Williams to America. Son of Rep. Onesimous O. Pierce.
