Returned to St. Johns in 1885. President of Ithaca Savings Bank and vice president of St. Johns Manufacturing Company. Director of St. Johns Electric Light, Heat and Power. Member of Michigan Republican State Central Committee, 1892-93. Member of Republican National Committee, 1896. Michigan state treasurer, 1897-1900. Oregon state treasurer, 1907-11.
