Biographical Sketch:
Of English descent. Son of Jonathan C. and Laura A. (Braley) Gallup. He was admitted to the bar in 1881 began practicing law in Farwell, MI where he also was village president and served as supervisor. He moved to Escanaba in 1889 and continued his practice. He was mayor of Escanaba several years, and was supervisor and city attorney. He was admitted to the Montana bar in 1905.
