Biographical Sketch:
Son of Fred P. and Sophia (Billing) Hunt. He was a student in the law office of Cutcheon and Allen at Ypsilanti, MI, and a law partner of Ex-Congressman E. P. Allen for 2 years. He held a contract with the city of Detroit for lighting gasoline street lamps from 1880-82. He was engaged as traveling salesman from 1884-88 and collection attorney for North Orrison Co., Kansas City, MO, from 1888-93. He moved to Detroit to practice law in 1893. Mr. Hunt served as circuit court commissioner for Washtenaw County and was also a member of the board of estimates from the 10th ward of the city of Detroit for 2 terms. He moved to Michigan in 1869.
