Biographical Sketch:
Son of Robert W. & Nancy S. (Stickney) Paddock. Grandson of Dr. Robert Paddock of Vermont. Taught at Lake Forest Academy; moved to Dayton, OH, 1885. After 2 yrs, he became the superintendent of a Cincinnati company, Brownell Brush & Wire Goods. Assistant superintendent of the Ohio Industrial School for Boys in Lancaster, OH until 1899. Moved to Charlevoix Co. in 1899, purchasing farmland in Marion and Eveline twps. He raised cattle, sheep & other stock. Member of the Charlevoix Agricultural Society; the Grange; Knights of Pythias; Knights of Korassan; and the Maccabees.
