Biographical Sketch:
Of Scottish and English ancestry. Son of Alexander and Janet P. (Pyle) Rodgers. In 1882, he apprenticed in his father's machine shop., then became a secretary in the father's office. Upon his father's death, Lincoln briefly moved to Tomahawk, WI to settle lumber interests of the estate. He returned to Muskegon in 1905 and organized the Rodgers & Belmus Boiler Co., later known as the Rodgers Boiler and Burner Co., which he sold in 1923. He was appointed postmaster in July, 1924.
