Biographical Sketch:
Of English and French ancestry. Son of John B. and Margery (Hutchinson) Ward. Admitted to the bar in Michigan in 1894. He was a cashier at the Exchange Bank of Bancroft. After withdrawing from public life, he worked for a time as a crew boss for laborers until entering the offices William Lorimer. He became his private secretary for several years.
