Eldest son of George O. and Margaret C.(Miller) Adams of NY and OH respectively. Passed the bar in Kent County 1894.
Notable Facts:
Speaker of the House in 1899. Delegate to Michigan state constitutional convention 16th District, 1907-08. Distant relative of Pres. John and John Q. Adams; 1st justice of the peace in Mt. Pleasant, MI; once moved 365 bills thru in 110 minutes. Tried in 1902 for accepting a bribe to assist legislation favoring a publisher.
