Biographical Sketch:
Son of Shepherd and Mary Ann (Upton) Weter. After leaving school, he rented a farm and farmed for 7 years. At that point he used his saving to start a business, Weter, Fanning Co., banking and wholesaling eggs. It became the largest exclusive egg business in Michigan, of its time. Member of the Masons, Odd Fellows and Maccabees. In the 1890s, he was vice president of Consolidated Hay Bale Tie Co. in Richmond, MI. He was president of the Macomb County Savings Bank of Richmond. He served as president of the village of Richmond for 6 years and president of the board of trustees
