Biographical Sketch:
Son of Dennis W. and Jane E. (Taft) Westover.He moved to Michigan in 1866. He was admitted to the bar in 1879 and for 4 years practiced law in both state and federal courts. In 1883, he was appointed postmaster of Bay City, holding the office 4 years. In 1894, he was elected clerk of Bay county and re-elected in 1896. He was editor of the Bay City Tribune when elected to the Michigan Senate.
