This is a free, self-directed online professional learning opportunity. In this course, participants apply ecological concepts to weigh tradeoffs and make a management decision for a public forest. The NGSS science and engineering practices are applied to the lessons, which are explained and demonstrated using text, classroom video and easy to use materials. Participants will have activities that could be used to extend this activity to incorporate Common Core literacy standards for science. To register, go to www.miplacek12.org
