Located in Flint, 1858, to study law at the Fenton & Newton law firm. Elected prosecuting attorney of Genesee County, 1860. Located in Saginaw, 1863-77. Located in Bridgeport Township, Saginaw County, 1877. Served as mayor of East Saginaw, 1875-77; Bridgeport Township supervisor, 1881-82.

Notable Facts:
Switched from Republican to Liberal Republican party at Cincinnati convention, 1872. Was Liberal Republican candidate for Congress, 1872. Lost race for Congress and joined Democratic party. Obit says he moved to Flint in 1848. Served in both chambers.
