Served as Master of Subordinate Grange No. 439, and of Pomona Grange No. 25. Served on executive committee of Michigan state Grange for six years. Served as commander of "Billy Begole" G.A.R. Post of Maple Rapids. Member of Michigan House of Representatives from Clinton County, 1893-96.
