Biographical Sketch:
Son of Rex R. and Adelia A. (Brown) Church. Moved in Illinois in 1849, where father died in 1851. Then located in Wisconsin until 1863. Enlisted in Company H, 21st Michigan Infantry, 9/8/1862. Reached the rank of corporal. Located in Montcalm County in 1865. Served as justice of the peace for twelve years, highway commissioner for one year, treasurer for two years and supervisor for eleven years.
