Biographical Sketch:
Of English and Irish ancestry. He came with his parents, Bartholomew and Jane (Hudson) Pearson, to Sanilac county, 12/1860. He spent his early days helping to clear farmland; worked in the lumber woods and sawmills for 7 years. In 1878, he moved to a farm in Moore Township, Sanilac Co. Served as justice of the peace, highway commissioner, township treasurer and member of Republican legislative committee. He was president of the farmers ' institute of Sanilac county and succeeded in organizing 6 institutes for the winter of 1896-7.
