Located in Liberty Twp., Jackson County in 1871. Naturalized in 1877.Located to Jackson in 1878, when he was admitted to the bar. Member of Michigan state house of representatives from Jackson County 1st District, 1891-94. Candidate for U.S. Representative from Michigan 2nd District, 1894, 1896. Candidate for justice of Michigan state supreme court, 1899. Delegate to Democratic National Convention from Michigan, 1904. Michigan Democratic state chair, 1903-05. According to House Resolution 9, p. 193, 1923 House Journal he had died. No date or place of death given. Prior record indicated he had died 2/17/1923.
