Biographical Sketch:
Son of Salis Randall. He moved to a farm in Cannon Township, Kent County, MI with his parents in May, 1851, where he remained until enlisting in Co. C, 13th Michigan Volunteer Infantry, Nov. 19, 1861. He re-enlisted in Feb. 1864 and mustered out on July 5, 1865. He moved to Lawrence County, TN in 1879 where he farmed and engaged in lumbering. He returned to Michigan in September, 1884 and settled in Grant Township, Oceana County where he served as township supervisor for 11 years, chairman of the county board of supervisors for 2 years and justice of the peace in 1896.
