Biographical Sketch:
Son of Ormand [or Oramel] and Harriet C. (Webber) Chamberlain. Came to Michigamme, MI, 1875 and taught school for 12 years. Admitted to the bar, 2/2/1888 and located to Gogebic County to practice law. He moved from Bessemer to Ironwood in late 1893. In Michigamme he served as treasurer and chairman of the board of school examiners and was a justice of the peace. In Bessemer he served as township supervisor, chair of the county board of supervisors, circuit court commissioner for Gogebic Co. and member of the county board of school examiners. Member of the Masons, the Odd Fellows, Knights of Pythias, the Independent Order of Red Men, Ancient Order of United Workmen and Knights of the Maccabees.

Notable Facts:
Nicknamed "the Tall Pine of the Gogebic". Member, Oddfellows; Knights of Pythias.
