Biographical Sketch:
Of Scottish descent. Son of William W. and Deborah Anderson. Located in Grand Rapids in 1865. Began working for Order Work Furniture Company in 1892. Business destroyed by fire in 1894 and he resumed working in a furniture factory. Served as Grand Rapids' 6th Ward alderman for 2 terms and as city inspector. He was a circuit court clerk according to his death certificate.
