Biographical Sketch:
Son of Joseph F. Young, Sr. Legislative staff and analyst for various offices - William Ryan, Alma Stallworth, Dale Kildee. Member Nativity of Our Lord Parish. Member of Local municipal and Democratic Party groups, NAACP, Knights of Columbus. Board Memberships: Eastside YMCA of Detroit, Ennis Center for Children, American Heart Association of Michigan, Janes Tatum Found. for the Arts, Youth in State Government. Member National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, Knights of Columbus, YMCA, Block Clubs. Former committee analyst for speaker's staff; andministrative staff assistant to Former House Speaker William Ryan; legislative assistant to State Rep. Alma Stallworth; committee administrator to former State Senator and US congressman Dale Kildee. Around 2005 he moved to Wisconsin and was the weekend supervisor at Madison School and Community Recreation and visited nursing homes and hospitals as part of his work with several churches.
Notable Facts:
Son of Joseph F. Young, Sr., former State of Michigan Representative. They were the first black father and son to serve in the Legislature simultaneously (1983-92).
